Walking the Yamanote line is not a very original idea. It's about 12 hours walk a 40km. long on mostly flat surface. It's not a major physical challenge... but it has to be done well.
The interest hear is not about endurance... it is mostly about discovering the city across time.
I would like to walk around the Yamanote line, 1 time every year and record my findings on photography.
My photographs would focus on 2 things. Architecture and logo marks... the changing landscape of the city.
The interest is to find landmarks, identities between each station and forming a virtual landscape of these images aftward.
I am curious to see the evolution across time while having the pleasure to rediscover the city I choose to live in and recording its visual movements.
I have no date preview, it should be done before summer when the weather is perfect.
I will be starting from 6 am and try to close the lap by 6pm. This first entire walk will be done from inside the belt and clock wise, starting either from Shibuya or Shinjuku.
